BIST 100 Index Ends The Day With an Increase

BIST 100 index ends the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.15 percent and ended the day with 1.531.05 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 2.23 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 31.5 billion liras. At the closing, while the banking index lost its value by 0.53 percent, the holding index gained 0.11 percent. While informatics earned the most with 3.94 percent among the industry indices, the most decline was recorded on mining with 2.14 percent. Analysts stated that the news flow regarding the developments regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, the course of the bond markets and the economic support package that is expected to be discussed in the Senate until the end of this week in the USA remain the focus of the agenda. Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored in the country tomorrow, while unemployment and retail sales in the Euro Zone, factory orders in the USA, durable goods orders, weekly unemployment pension applications and the speech of US Federal Reserve (FED) President Jerome Powell will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.505 is in the support position and the level of 1.570 is in a resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
