BIST 100 Index Ends The Day With An Increase
BIST 100 index ends the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.23 percent and finished the day with 1,395.79 points.
At the beginning of the day, in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 3.21 points compared to the previous closing, the total transaction volume was recorded as 22.3 billion liras.
At the closing, while the banking index lost 1.01 percent of its value, the holding index lost its value by 0.06 percent. Among the sector indices, the most profitable was metal goods with 3.67 percent, while the most decline was recorded on leasing and factoring with 6.41 percent.

Borsa Istanbul, which fluctuated throughout the day, started to rise after the statements of the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Şahap Kavcıoğlu.
In his speech at the opening of the 89th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the CBRT, Kavcıoğlu stated that they will continue to use all the tools at their disposal independently and effectively in line with their main objectives, and said, “We will continue to set the policy rate at a level above inflation, preserving the strong disinflationary effect, until there are strong indicators that point to a permanent decline in inflation.”
Analysts stated that the tightening measures due to the increasing number of cases in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic and the increase in the US's 10-year bond rates caused pressure on TL assets. While it was stated that the economic confidence index and foreign trade statistics will be monitored in the country tomorrow, the speech of the US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen at the Financial Stability Oversight Council meeting, ADP private sector employment in the USA, growth in the UK, inflation in the Eurozone will be closely monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the range of 1.420 and 1.450 will be followed as resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 1.340 points are in the support position.
