BIST 100 Index Ends The Day With An Increase

BIST 100 index ends the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 2.24 percent and closed the day with 1,409.19 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 30.82 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 16.6 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 3.57 percent, while the holding index gained 2.65 percent. Among the sector indices, stone and soil was the most profitable with 4.78 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 7.06 percent. Analysts stated that the BIST 100 index was dominated by the upward trend in parallel with the buyers in global stock markets. While the inflation data announced in the USA exceeded the expectations, the fact that the market remained below the anxious levels compared to producer prices positively affected the risk appetite. This situation was reflected as an increase in the stock market through banking stocks. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index, while the level of 1,360 stands out as support.
