BIST 100 Index Ends Thursday With A Decrease
BIST 100 index ends thursday with a decrease. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.10 percent and ended the day with 1,407.76 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index decreased by 1.43 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 25.9 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 2.36 percent, while the holding index lost 1.23 percent. Among the industry indices, metal was the main industry with 2.63 percent, while the most decline was recorded on metal goods and machinery with 3.13 percent.
Today, the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting was held. At the meeting, no changes were made and the policy interest rate, which was 19 percent.
Stating that tomorrow, domestic short-term external debt statistics and housing price index data will be followed, analysts said that the data agenda, especially growth in China, inflation in the Eurozone, and Michigan University confidence index in the USA will be closely monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, level of 1,440 is in the resistance position, while 1,390 and 1,360 levels are in the support position.
