BIST 100 Index Ends Thursday With Earnings
BIST 100 index ends Thursday with earnings. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 2.50 percent and finished the day with 1,426.56 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index increased by 34.83 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 22.3 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 4.24 percent, while the holding index gained 2.74 percent. While all sector indices showed an increase, most gain was recorded on sports with 8.93 percent.

Borsa Istanbul exceeded 1,425 points after the Turkish Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose in March and gave strong recovery signals in the sector's performance.
Analysts stated that the increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases and tightened measures, as well as the volatility in exchange rate and bond rates, negatively affected the stock markets, and said that the infrastructure package of about $ 2 trillion announced by US President Joe Biden yesterday evening increased the risk appetite on a global scale.
It was stated that tomorrow the domestic data agenda is stagnant, while the data agenda will be monitored abroad, especially the employment report which will be announced in the USA.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.465 is in the resistance position and the level of 1.340 is in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
