BIST 100 Index Special Share Recommendations
We have compiled the stock opinions prepared by experienced analysts of the BIST 100 index for you.
Arçelik Stock Recommendation; Vakıf Investment
Arçelik posted a net profit of TRY259 mn in the second quarter of the year, down 51% yoy, below expectations. Although we saw strong year-on-year growth in consolidated revenues, margins deteriorated in this quarter due to cost increases. Arçelik revised its consolidated revenue growth guidance for 2022 upwards and EBITDA margin guidance downwards with the financials. Although the company's shares have partially priced in the financials with 11% negative divergence from the index in the last month before the financials, the market reaction to the results is expected to be slightly negative, while the price target per share for Arçelik has been revised to 74.25 TRY (previous: 77.90 TRY). Short-term "Index Parallel Return" and long-term "HOLD" recommendation was noted.
Market experts underline that 2022 will be a year in which the wounds in terms of profitability will be healed very quickly for Halkbank, especially with the very strong contribution from the CPEX portfolio and the effect of margins recovering with the rapid increase in credit spreads. After 2020, if a credit growth cycle is not entered as seen in the pandemic process, it is thought that the newly placed capital in the bank will both correct the capital adequacy ratios and put the operational profitability on a new and strong ground, while it is estimated that some of the very strong profit increase will be directed to strengthening the provisions item, which has been very weak in the past two years. Although the experts come with a HOLD recommendation for now, positive developments in relations with the US may pull this risk premium down.
Yapı Kredi Bank Share Recommendation Deniz Yatırım
Yapı Kredi Bank (YKB) announced a net profit of TRY11.922 million in its 2Q22 unconsolidated financials. Market expectations were 10,657 million TRY while experts' expectations were 10,595 million TRY. While the bank's net profit figure increased by 64% compared to the previous period, it increased more than five times compared to the same period last year and the return on equity for the period was realized as 55.3%. Experts maintained their BUY recommendation for Yapı Kredi Bank and updated their target price per share to 7.40 TL.
