BIST 100 Index Started February With An Increase

BIST 100 index started February with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.54 percent at 2,013.97 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 10.77 points and 0.54 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,013.97 points. While the banking index gained 0.47 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.44 percent. Among the sector indices, forest paper printing was the biggest winner with 1.19 percent, while the only decline was recorded on stone and soil with 0.11 percent. BIST 100 index, which followed a buying weighted course yesterday, finished the day at 2,003.20 points with an increase of 1,01 percent. Analysts said that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials' attention to the negative effects of the bank's hawkishness increased the risk appetite on a global basis, with the expectation that the bank would be restrained in monetary tightening. It was stated that today, domestic and worldwide manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), retail sales and unemployment in Germany, ISM manufacturing index and JOLTS job numbers in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that 2.050 levels in the BIST 100 index are in the resistance position, and the 1.960 and 1.930 levels are in the support position.
