BIST 100 Index Started Friday with a Rise

BIST 100 index started Friday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.27 percent and started the day with 1,417.95 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 3.80 points and 0.27 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,417.95 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.55 percent, while the holding index lost 0.20 percent. Among the sector indices, sports gained the most with 0.68 percent, while the most decline was recorded on holding and investment with 0.20 percent. Yesterday, after the US Federal Reserve's (FED) June meeting decisions, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, followed a sluggish course and lost value by 1.20 percent and finished the day at 1,414.15 points. Analysts stated that the initial reaction of the markets to the FED's upward revisions in inflation and interest rate expectations and the direction that efforts to reduce asset purchases may soon be discussed was negative, but today the search for direction stands out. It was stated that in the next period, more sensitivity to the data and pricing that will determine the expectations regarding inflation is expected. It was stated that the data agenda is calm today, and the course of commodity prices, which have increased volatility, will be followed along with the meeting of finance ministers in the Eurozone. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 is in the support position, and the levels of 1.470 and 1.490 stand out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
