BIST 100 Index Started The Day Horizontally
BIST 100 index started the day horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul decreased by 0.07 percent and started the day with 1.526.36 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 1.09 points and 0.07 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.526.36 points.
At the opening, the banking index lost 0.34 percent, while the holding index gained 0.03 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 3.63 percent, while the most decline was recorded on mining with 3.36 percent.
According to the data released yesterday, the Turkish economy grew by 1.8 percent in 2020. After the data was announced, the BIST 100 index, which gained a value of 3.81 percent compared to the previous close, closed the day with 1.527.45 points.
Pointing out that Turkey is among the few countries that could end the year with growth during the epidemic period, analysts said that the gradual removal of the tight measures taken, the recovery in the European economy, the largest export market, and the declining commodity prices support the stock markets.
It was stated that export data will be monitored in the country today, and that the statements of the officials of the US Central Bank (FED) will be monitored abroad. It was also stated that the course of the bond markets and developments regarding the economic support package in the USA continued to be at the center of the agenda.
In technical terms, analysts stated that if the
BIST 100 index is maintained above 1.505 points, 1.550 and 1.570 levels may be on the agenda.
