BIST 100 Index Started the Day with a Decline
BIST 100 index started the day with a decline. BIST 100 index decreased 0.20 percent and started the day with 1.542.50 points.
In
Borsa Istanbul, at the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 3.09 points and 0.20 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.542.50 points.
While the banking index declined by 0.50 percent at the opening, the holding index decreased by 0.08 percent. Among the industry indices, metal main industry earned the most with 0.33 percent, while securities investment trusts declined the most with 0.72 percent.
The BIST 100 index lost 0.1 percent in Borsa Istanbul, which was mixed throughout Thursday, and closed the day with 1.545.59 points.
Analysts stated that the news about the financial stimulus package planned to be given as part of the fight against coronavirus in the USA continues to remain on the agenda of investors. It was stated that the officials' statements regarding the need for more financial support, especially in the USA, increased the expectations and caused the global stock markets to remain mixed.
Indicating that the current account balance and industrial production index data will be monitored in the country today, analysts stated that the growth and industrial production in England and the consumer confidence index data in the USA will be monitored abroad.
On the technical side, analysts stated that the 1.570 level is in the resistance position and 1.525 level is in the support position in the
BIST 100 index.
