BIST 100 Index Started The Day With A Decline
BIST 100 index started the day with a decline. BIST 100 index lost 0.24 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.413.18 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 3.37 points and 0.24 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.413.18 points.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.31 percent at the opening, the holding index started the day horizontally. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the most profitable with 0.50 percent, while the most decline was recorded as insurance with 2.33 percent.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul lost 0.09 percent due to the negative course of bank stocks and closed the day at 1,416.55 points.
Analysts stated that the country and sector-based divergence gained momentum in global markets, and the pressure on Turkish lira assets due to the increase in the number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases continued, and today the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (CBRT) expectation survey will be followed domestically, while the PPI data in the USA will be monitored abroad.
Technically speaking, analysts say that BIST 100 index can be expected to continue its volatile course in the 1.390-1.440 band if it fails to maintain a permanence above 1.440 points; If the index goes beyond the band, the movement towards the breaking direction can gain momentum.
