BIST 100 Index Started the Day with a Rise

BIST 100 index started the day with a rise. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.65 percent and opened the day with 1.538.80 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 9.98 points and 0.65 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1.538.80 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.65 percent, while the holding index gained 0.53 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 4.14 percent, while the only decline was recorded on sports with 0.13 percent. The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which fluctuated in the 1.510-1.540 band on Tuesday, gained 0.09 percent and closed the day with 1.528.82 points. Analysts stated that the news about the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, the progress in the bond markets and the economic support package, which is expected to be discussed in the Senate until the end of this week in the USA, remains in the focus of the agenda. Stating that domestic inflation data will be monitored today, analysts stated that the data agenda will be followed abroad, especially the service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide and the ADP employment report in the USA. In technical terms, analysts stated that level of 1.505 is in support and the range of 1.550 and 1.570 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
