BIST 100 Index Started The Day With A Rise On October 19

BIST 100 index started the day with a rise on October 19. BIST 100 index gained 0.43% in Borsa Istanbul and started the day at 1,423.81 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 6.12 points and 0.43 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,423.81 points. While the banking index gained 0.62 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.33 percent. Among the sector indices, chemistry, petroleum and plastics were the highest earners with 0.63 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities investment partnerships with 0.32 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul diverged positively from the global stock markets and ended the day at 1,417.70 points with an increase of 0.58 percent. Analysts stated that inflationary concerns continue to be on the agenda and that investors have turned their focus to possible monetary policy actions in this context, adding that today's statements by the Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, who increased the interest rate hike expectations with his guidance yesterday, gained importance. It was also stated that the statements of the US Federal Reserve officials and the data on construction permits and housing starts in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.444 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1.396 is in a position of support for the BIST 100 index.
