BIST 100 Index Started the Day with an Increase

BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.62 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.520.80 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 9.37 points and 0.62 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1.520.80 points. At the opening in Borsa Istanbul, the banking index gained 0.60 percent, while the holding index gained 1.12 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 2.63 percent, while the only decline was on sports with 0.10 percent. The BIST 100 index, which continued in an upward trend throughout Tuesday, closed the day with 1.511.43 points with 1.27 percent appreciation. Analysts stated that the risk appetite increased in global markets due to the expectations for the stimulus package, which were accelerated in the USA, and some problems regarding the procurement and application of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine in Europe, and said that the decrease in foreign exchange rates reflected positively in the domestic market. Indicating that inflation data will be monitored domestically and in the Eurozone today, analysts stated that the ADP private sector employment in the USA and the service sector Purchasing Managers Index to be announced worldwide will be monitored abroad. On the technical side, analysts stated that 1.430 points are an important support and 1.525 and 1.570 levels are in the resistance position in the BIST 100 index. Economists expect inflation to reach 14.75 levels in January. If these levels materialize, the highest inflation level of the last 14 months will be seen.
