BIST 100 Index Started The Day With An Increase

BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. The BIST 100 index gained 0.35 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.380.73 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 4.82 points and 0.35 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,380.73 points. While the banking index gained 0.23 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.41 percent. Among the industry indices, sports were the most profitable with 3.70 percent, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 3.26 percent. On the first trading day of the week, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul continued its negative divergence and closed the day at 1,375.91 points with a 1.24 percent depreciation. Analysts stated that the pressure in the stock markets continues due to the rapidly increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases. It was stated that domestic industrial production data will be followed today, while the inflation data in the USA will be monitored abroad. Technically speaking, analysts say that if the BIST 100 index remains below 1.390, 1.340 support may come to the agenda, and that the range of 1.400 and 1.440 levels are in a position of resistance.
