BIST 100 Index Started the Day with an Increase

BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.64 percent and opened the day with 1.544.79 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 9,89 points and 0,64 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,544,79 points. While the banking index gained 0.83 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.56 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 0.92 percent, while the only decline was recorded on tourism with 0.76 percent. Bank stocks followed a trend with sellers on Thursday, which set a barrier to the rise of the BIST 100 index. The BIST 100 index, which gained 0.09 percent yesterday, closed the day with 1.534.90 points. Bank shares lost an average of 1.5 percent yesterday. Analysts stressed that news about the fiscal stimulus package expected to be launched in the US continues to guide the markets. Indicating that the Treasury cash balance data will be monitored domestically today, analysts stated that the data in the employment report of the USA will be monitored abroad. Technically, analysts say that the upward trend can be maintained as long as the BIST 100 index remains above 1.505 points; Also stated that the 1.570 level is in a position of resistance.
