BIST 100 Index Started the Day with an Increase

BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.84 percent and started the day with 1.510.32 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 27.29 points and 1.84 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1.510.32 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 1.66 percent value, while the holding index gained 1.93 percent. While all sector indices started the day with a gain in value, highest gain was recorded in tourism with 2.95 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which moved with sellers on Wednesday, closed the day with 1.483.02 points, losing 2.30 percent compared to its previous closing. Global risk appetite has been reported to rise after US Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Jerome Powell dispel worries about inflation and bond yields, analysts say. The analysts stated that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee meeting summary and economic confidence index data will be monitored domestically today, while an intense data agenda, especially growth in the USA, will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, level of 1.470 is in the support position and the level of 1.550 is in the resistance position.
