BIST 100 Index Started the Day with An Increase
BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.77 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.542.04 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 1.77 points and 0.77 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1.542.04 points.
At the opening, the banking index gained 0.78 percent, while the holding index gained 0.71 percent. Among the sector indices, sports were the most profitable with 1.72 percent, while the only decline was recorded on leasing and factoring with 0.68 percent.
Having spent the first trading day of the week with sellers, BIST 100 index lost 0.76 percent in
Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1.530.27 points.
Analysts stated that the upward trend in US 10-year bond yields put pressure on developing country currencies and stock markets. Stating that the US 10-year bond interest rates fell to 1.56 percent by not being able to hold above 1.60 percent, analysts stated that the Turkish lira compensated some of its losses today, and that the course of the bond market and oil prices will determine investor decisions.
Today, it was noted that along with the Turkey-themed meeting to be held by the international credit rating agency Fitch Ratings, the session titled “Who Wins on Wall Street? GameStop, Robinhood and the State of Individual Investment" will be monitored.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the range of 1.550 and 1.570 levels are in the resistance position and the level of 1.505 is in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
