BIST 100 index started the day with an increase on October 5. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.13 percent and started the day with 1,396.11 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.75 points and 0.13 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,396.11 points.
While the banking index gained 0.09 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.08 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring were the highest earners with 0.46 percent, while the most decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.65 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul closed at 1,394.37 points, losing 0.51 percent after the September inflation data reached above expectations.
Analysts stated that the volatility may continue in the global stock markets, with rising oil prices feeding inflationary concerns, continuing uncertainties stemming from real estate companies in Asia, and increasing selling pressure in technology stocks.
Analysts, who stated that the statements of the Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda, the European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and the members of the US Federal Reserve could be determinative on the direction of the markets, also added that the services sector Purchasing Managers Index to be announced around the world, the Producer Price Index in the Eurozone and the US Federal Reserve along with the foreign trade balance data will be monitored closely.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 stood out as support and the level of 1.420 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
