BIST 100 Index Started The Day With Gains

BIST 100 index started the day with gains. BIST 100 index gained 1.06 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.409.20 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 14.85 points and 1.06 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,409.20 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.97 percent, while the holding index gained 1.15 percent. While sports gained the most among the sector indices with 2.11 percent, it was observed that there was no sector index that lost value. BIST 100 index, which started to decline due to insufficient response purchases on Thursday, ended the day at 1,394.36 points with a 1.38 percent depreciation due to the intensified sales in bank stocks. Analysts stated that in the global markets, macroeconomic data and the progress in vaccination studies in the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic has been positive, with the alleviation of concerns about economic activity, and if the reaction purchases strengthen in the negatively divergent domestic markets yesterday, the recovery may be rapid. Today, it was stated that real sector confidence index, capacity utilization rate and sectoral confidence indices data will be followed in Turkey, personal income and expenditures in the USA and Ifo indices in Germany will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts noted that the level of 1.465 is in the resistance position and the level of 1.340 is in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
