BIST 100 Index Started The New Week With An Increase

BIST 100 index started the new week with an increase. The BIST 100 index gained 0.59 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.449.84 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 8.51 points and 0.59 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,449.84 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.42 percent, while the holding index gained 0.78 percent. Among the sector indices, sports were the most profitable with 1.31 percent, while the biggest decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 3.20 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which acted with buyers on the last trading day of last week, closed Friday at 1,441.33 points with 0.95 percent gain in value. Analysts stated that the increase in commodity prices could suppress global stock markets. At the time of writing, the pound of copper gained 3 percent and was traded at its historical peak with $ 4.71. It was stated that the statistics of the domestic labor force will be followed today, and the evaluation of the US President Joe Biden on the economic agenda will be monitored abroad. On the technical side, analysts stated that the level of 1.455 stands out as resistance and the level of 1.420 is in support position for the BIST 100 index.
