BIST 100 Index Started the Week With a Horizontal Movement

BIST 100 index started the week with a horizontal movement. BIST 100 index lost 0.05 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,375.97 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 0.69 points and 0.05 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,375.97 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.08 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.07 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring were the most profitable with 1.43 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 0.81 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul showed an upward trend on Friday and ended the day at 1,376.67 points with 0.28 percent gain. Reminding that the US stock markets are closed today due to a public holiday, the analysts stated that the meeting reports of the US Federal Reserve (FED) to be published on Wednesday are expected in global markets, and the inflation data to be announced today will be closely monitored in the domestic market. In technical terms, analysts stated that if the BIST 100 index stays above the level of 1.370, the 1.390 and 1.440 resistances may come to the fore, respectively, and said that the level of 1,350 stands out as support for the BIST 100 index.
