BIST 100 Index Started the Week With A Rise

BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.26% and started the day with 1,401.59 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 3.59 points and 0.26 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,401.59 points. While the banking index gained 0.29% at the opening, the holding index gained 0.16%. Tourism was the highest earner among the sector indices with 3.39 percent. On Friday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.08 percent and closed at 1.398.00 points, while the loss in the index on a weekly basis was 0.25 percent. Analysts stated that inflationary concerns remain on the agenda due to the high prices of raw materials, especially oil, and that the course of rising bond yields should be carefully monitored. Analysts stated that the data agenda abroad is calm today, while the balance of payments and unemployment rate data for August will be monitored domestically, and the presentation of the CBRT Governor Şahap Kavcıoğlu, to the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee, will be important for the course of monetary policies in the future. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.370 and 1.355 are in the support position and the level of 1.420 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
