BIST 100 Index Started The Year With An Increase
BIST 100 index started the year with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 1,871.25 points with an increase of 0.73 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 13.59 points and 0.73 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,871.25 points.
While the banking index gained 0.18 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.66 percent. Among the sector indices, electricity was the highest earner with 2.74 percent, while the most decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.20 percent.

Analysts said that global stock markets followed a mixed course due to the increased cases of Omicron variant in the coronavirus epidemic.
Analysts, who stated that their eyes are on the inflation and export data to be announced today, noted that the balancing process in the markets is expected to continue for a while.
Analysts said that today they will also monitor the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the domestic market and the Manufacturing Industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) on a global basis.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.890 and 1.940 are in a position of resistance, while the levels of 1.840 and 1.790 are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
