BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With A Rise

BIST 100 index started Thursday with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 0.28 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,453.24 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 4.07 points and 0.28 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,453.24 points. At the close, the banking index gained 0.23 percent, while the holding index gained 0.10 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 1.20 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities investment trust with 0.17 percent. Yesterday, BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul finished the day with 1,449.17 points, gaining 0.11% value. Analysts said that with the inflation data to be announced in the USA today, optimism, albeit limited, was priced in before the European Central Bank (ECB) meeting in global stock markets. Analysts stated that the rise in inflation in the USA may cause pressure on the markets by increasing the possibility of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to take a step back from the expansionary monetary policies. It was reminded that today, labor force statistics and weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored in Turkey. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 stands out as support and the level of 1.470 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
