BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With A Rise

BIST 100 index started Thursday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.13 percent and started the day with 1,393.69 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.77 points and 0.13 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,393.69 points. While the banking index gained 0.29% at the opening, the holding index gained 0.02%. Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was trade with 0.44 percent, while the only decline was recorded on metal goods and machinery with 0.54 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a buying trend parallel to the global stock markets and closed the day at 1,391.92 points with an increase of 0.59 percent. Analysts said that global stock markets have calmed down after monetary policy makers reiterated their messages that supply shocks in inflation are temporary. It was stated that today, the summary of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, foreign trade balance, unemployment and inflation in Germany, unemployment in the Eurozone, and 2nd quarter growth data in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.370 and 1.340 stood out as support and the level of 1.420 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
