BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.22 percent and opened the day with 1,423.07 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 3.07 points and 0.22 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1.423.07 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.18 percent, while the holding index gained 0.38 percent. Among the sector indices, food and beverage were the most profitable with 0.40 percent, while the biggest loss was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 4.02 percent. The BIST 100 index gained 0.26 percent in Borsa Istanbul, which acted with buyers on Wednesday, and finished the day with 1,420.00 points. Analysts stated that the share markets maintained their upward trend before the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), which will be announced at 2 pm. Markets predicted that the CBRT will keep the interest rate stable at 19 percent at this meeting. It was stated that the interest rate decision of the Bank of England (BoE) and the weekly unemployment applications in the USA, will be monitored closely. In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, the level of 1,440 is in the resistance position, and the levels of 1,390 and 1,340 are in the support position.
