BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday Horizontally
BIST 100 index started Wednesday horizontally. BIST 100 index moved horizontally in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,391.48 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 0.52 points and 0.04 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.391.48 points.
While the banking index decreased by 0.02 percent at the opening, the holding index decreased limited to 0.03 percent. Among the industry indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 3.17 percent, while sports was the most declining with 1.42 percent.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul moved with buyers yesterday as the financial results of the company announced generally above expectations and closed the day at 1,392.00 points with an increase of 1.31 percent.
Analysts stated that the
US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision and FED Chairman Jerome Powell's statements are the focus of the markets today, stating that no change is expected in the "dove" attitude of the bank, and in the decision text and Powell's statements, stated that clues will be sought regarding the future of asset purchases and the Fed’s concerns on inflation.
In addition, analysts said that the financial results of the company will continue to be monitored, and the volatility in commodity prices and the increase in the US 10-year bond interest rate again to 1.63 percent increased the risk perception.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1.350 and 1.300-1.310 band is in the support position for the BIST 100 index, and a persistence of over 1.400 points will be sought in order for possible increases to gain strength.
