BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started wednesday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.80 percent and started the day with 1,389.39 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 11.02 points and 0.80 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,389.39 points. While the banking index gained 1.05 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.44 percent. Among the indices of the sector, stone and soil was the most profitable with 1.44 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 0.39 percent. On Tuesday, BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started to increase with reaction purchases after falling to 1,350 points and closed the day at 1,378.37 points with 0.18 percent gain in value. Thus, BIST 100 index ended its downward trend for 5 days in a row. Analysts stated that the decline in the 10-year bond interest of the USA and the measures taken against the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic in the country eliminated the uncertainty that occurred in the stock markets. It was also stated that the speeches of European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and US Federal Reserve Governor Jerome Powell will be followed today. On the technical side, analysts stated that the range of 1.400 - 1.440 stood out as resistance and the level of 1.340 is in a support position for the BIST 100 index.
