BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday With Gains

BIST 100 index started Wednesday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.32 percent and started the day with 1,421.31 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 4.49 points and 0.32 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,421.31 points. While the banking index gained 0.38 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.36 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 1.53 percent, while food and beverage along with the security investment partnership lost a limited amount of 0.02 percent. After starting the day with a rise, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul returned its earnings close to the close due to the rise in exchange rates and the decreasing global risk appetite, and closed the day at 1,416.82 points with a limited increase of 0.04 percent. Analysts stated that there was a calm course in the global stock markets ahead of the inflation data to be announced in the USA and the meeting minutes of the US Federal Reserve, and that volatility may increase, especially after the inflation data. It was also stated that the FED minutes could clarify the roadmap for reducing asset purchases. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.370 stands out as the support, and the levels of 1.420 and 1.440 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
