BIST 100 Opened the Day with Increase

BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.54 percent at the beginning of the day. BIST 100 index, which gained 634.09 points and 0.54 percent value at the opening of the day, increased to 118.713.99 points. Banking index increased by 0.53 percent and holding index increased by 0.62 percent. While all sector indices started the day with rising, mining was the most earning with rate of 1.13 percent. The BIST 100 index, which fluctuated between 117,500-119,500 levels on Wednesday, 22 July, completed yesterday with a score of 118,079,91 points, increasing by 0.03 percent compared to the previous closing. Stating that the news flow for coronavirus (Covid-19) treatment and the geopolitical developments related to the Eastern Mediterranean remain at the center of the agenda, analysts stated that the CBRT's Monetary Policy Committee meeting is another focus. Today, analysts, who pointed out that the consumer confidence index in the domestic data agenda, said the USA's unemployment applications have come to the fore. Technically, support of 117,000 points in the BIST 100 index; 119.500 and 121.000 levels stand out as resistance.
