BIST 100 Started Friday With A Fall
BIST 100 index started Friday with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a decrease of 0.77 percent at 2.023.04 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 15.63 points and 0.77 percent compared to the previous close, decreased to 2,023.04 points.
While the banking index lost 0.69 percent at the opening, the holding index lost 0.77 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the most profitable with 4.89 percent, while the most decline was recorded on metal main industry with 1.47 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which started the day with a rise yesterday and went down after the inflation data announced in the USA, closed the day at 2,038.67 points with a 0.20 percent depreciation.
Analysts said that after the January inflation data of the USA realized above expectations, the intensified pricing that the US Federal Reserve (
Fed) will increase interest rates by 50 basis points in March caused selling pressure in the stock markets.
Stating that share and sector-based divergences continue due to the announced company balance sheets, analysts noted that the balance of payments and industrial production data to be announced today are in the focus of investors.
Analysts stated that today, inflation in Germany, growth and industrial production in England and consumer confidence index data in the USA will be monitored closey.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 2.020 and 1.990 are in the support position and the level of 2.050 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
