BIST 100 Started New Week With A Decrease
BIST 100 started new week with a decrease. BIST 100 index lost 0.07 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,392.25 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 0.99 points and 0.07 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.392.25 points.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.09 percent at the opening, the holding index displayed horizontal movement at the opening. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring gained the most with 1.17 percent, while the most decline was recorded on communication with 0.60 percent.
BIST 100 index fell 1.65 percent on Friday and closed at 1.393.24 points on Borsa Istanbul, which was negatively differentiated due to the number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases that increased last week and tightened measures.
Analysts stated that the tension between Russia and Ukraine, the news flow on the Covid-19 cases, the intense data agenda and the rate decision of the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey(CBRT) will determine investor decisions this week. In addition, it was reported that the current account balance and unemployment data for February will be monitored closely today.
On the technical side, analysts stated that 1,440 points are in the resistance position and the range of 1,390 and 1,350 levels are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
