BIST 100 Started The Day With Gains

BIST 100 index started the day with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 1 percent at 2,065.70 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 20.54 points and 1 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,065.70 points. While the banking index gained 0.75 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.84 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 2 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 1,03 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, after starting the day with a rise, gave back some of its gains and closed the day with an increase of 0.58 percent at 2,045.16 points. While the eyes are turning to the balance of payments data, economists participating in the expectations survey of AA Finance expect the current account to have a deficit of 2 billion 230 million dollars in the period of November 2021. Analysts stated that the levels of 2.050 and 2.070 are in a position of resistance, while the levels of 2.030 and 1.990 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index. On the other hand, Borsa Istanbul announced that the "up step rule" in short selling transactions, which started to be implemented on December 20, 2021, for stocks in the BIST 50 index has ended today.
