BIST 100 Started the New Week With an Increase
BIST 100 started the new week with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.92 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.556.57 points.
On the first trading day of the new week, the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 14.12 points and 0.92 percent compared to its previous closing, rose to 1.556.57 points.
While the banking index gained 0.66% value at the opening, the holding index gained 0.92%. While all sector indices opened with a gain in value, tourism recorded the highest gain with 3.06 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which moved with buyers on the last trading day of the previous week, lost 0.59 percent in value compared to its previous closing and fell to 1.542.45 points.
Analysts stated that as the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic started to increase, the number of cases and casualties increased and restrictions were tightened further, meanwhile expectations for a larger amount of incentive packages on a global scale support the stock markets.
Indicating that the real sector confidence index and capacity utilization rate data will be monitored today, analysts reminded that the statements of European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde will be followed in addition to Ifo indices in Germany.
On the technical side, analysts stated that 1.525 points are in support and 1.570 points are in resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
