BIST 100 Started The Week With Decline

BIST 100 started the week with a decline. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul showed a decrease of 0.08 percent and started the day with 1,428.99 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 1.20 points and 0.08 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.428.99 points. While the banking index lost its value by 0.54 percent at the opening, the holding index decreased by 0.48 percent. Among the industry indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 2.43 percent, while the most decline was recorded on communication with 0.88 percent. The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul was partially calm due to the holidays in the US and European markets on Friday, and rose to 1,430.19 points by gaining 0.25 percent. Analysts stated that the European markets are closed today due to the Easter holiday, and that domestic inflation data will be followed. In addition, it was stated that the service sector Purchasing Managers Index data and the statements from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meeting in the USA are also in the focus of investors. In technical terms, analysts stated that if the BIST 100 index is sustained above the 1.440 level, the bullish will may be strengthened, and that the range of 1.390 and 1.340 is in the support position in possible decreases.
