BIST 100 Started Thursday With A Loss
BIST 100 started Thursday with a loss. BIST 100 index lost 1.13 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.315.49 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 14.99 points and 1.13 percent compared to its previous closing, fell to 1.315.49 points.
While the banking index lost 1.03 percent at the opening, the holding index also lost 0.96 percent. Among the industry indices, securities investment trusts were the only gaining 0.57 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on sports with 4.29 percent.
Analysts stated that the increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases and tightening measures, as well as developments in Ukraine and the US-Russia tension continue to put pressure on Turkish Lira assets.
Today, while the consumer confidence index will be monitored in the country, analysts stated that the weekly unemployment applications in the USA, the
European Central Bank interest rate decision and the statements that may come from the USA, Russia and Ukraine will be in the focus of investors and will be closely monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1,300-1,310 band stands out as support in the BIST 100 index, and that a persistence of over 1,400 points will be sought to increase optimism in the rises.
