BIST 100 Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 started Thursday with an increase. The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.36 percent and started the day with 1,390.92 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 5.01 points and 0.36 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,390.92 points. At the opening, the banking index increased by 0.61 percent and the holding index increased by 0.60 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 1.90 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 3.16 percent. Yesterday, BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day with 1.385.91 points with a 0.44 percent loss due to a sellers course. Analysts stated that after the US Federal Reserve (FED) decided not to change the interest rates and the bond purchase program in line with the expectations, and FED Chairman Jerome Powell maintained his previous communication on the timing of the rate increases with the reduction of bond purchases, there was a mixed course in the global stock markets. Stating that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (CBRT) Inflation Report and CBRT Governor Şahap Kavcıoğlu's statements are at the focus of the markets today, analysts stated that inflation in Germany and growth in the USA are on the agenda. In addition, it was reminded that the financial results of the companies, which continues to be announced, may cause stock and sector-based differences. In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1.350 and 1.300-1.310 bands are in the support position fort he BIST 100 index, while the levels of 1.400 and 1.440 are in the resistance position.
