BIST 100 Started Wednesday With A Decline
BIST 100 index started Wednesday with a decline. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,978.62 points with a decrease of 0.06 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost value by 1.21 points and 0.06 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,978.62 points.
While the banking index gained 1.07 percent at the opening, the holding index lost 0.04 percent. Among the sector indices, banking gained the most, and the most decline was recorded on tourism with 2.39 percent.
With the increasing geopolitical risks, the sales deepened in
Borsa Istanbul yesterday afternoon and the session was completed at 17.32 with the operation of the index-linked circuit breaker system. Thus, the BIST 100 index closed the day at 1,979.83 points with a 5.08 percent depreciation.
Analysts said that due to the increasing tension related to Ukraine between Russia, the USA and NATO, a selling trend was observed in the global stock markets and that the developments regarding the issue would remain at the focus of the agenda.
Stating that the statements of the Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey will be followed today, analysts stated that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the UK and Germany will be monitored closely. Analysts stated that the course of the bond market is also critical for the direction of the markets.
It was stated that the levels of 2.020 and 2.110 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.950 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
