BIST100 Closed The Day With A Decline

BIST100 closed the day with a decline. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.13 percent and finished the day with 1.377.43 points.

At the end of the day, BIST 100 index decreased by 1.83 points compared to the previous closing and the total transaction volume was recorded as 41.7 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 8.46 percent, while the holding index lost 0.65 percent. Among the sector indices, construction was the most profitable with 5.68 percent, while banking was recorded as the most declining. After the opening, the Index Linked Circuit Breaker System has been activated twice. Analysts stated that after the index depreciated by 10 percent again, the stop-loss orders decreased and that it compensated for its losses with incoming reaction purchases and tested above 1.400.00, but balanced in the band of 1.375.00 - 1.380.00 with sales from this level. Reminding that the statements of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the 7th Ordinary Grand Congress of the AK Party will be followed tomorrow, analysts said that the consumer confidence index will also be followed domestically, while the speech of US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide, the economic confidence index in the Eurozone and the durable goods orders in the US will be closely monitored abroad.
