BIST100 Index Started The Day With A Rise

BIST100 index started the day with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 0.22 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.416.99 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 3.13 points and 0.22 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1,416.99 points. At the opening, the banking index gained 0.29 percent, while the holding index gained 0.53 percent. While securities investment trusts earned the most with 1.86 percent among the industry indices, the most decline was recorded on communication with 0.34 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, where response purchases strengthened on Wednesday, closed the day at 1,413.86 points with a 2.65 percent gain in value. Analysts stated that the risk of mutation in the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic and the re-tightening of the measures in parallel with the increase in the number of cases increased the concerns about the recovery in the global economy, and the increases in the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data announced yesterday support optimism. Noting that the stock markets have stabilized with the decrease of stop-loss orders in the stock market, analysts stated that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting summary will be followed domestically and growth data in the US will be monitored abroad. In addition to these, it was stated that while the course of the bond market kept its place in the focus of the agenda, the news coming from the EU Leaders Summit will be important. In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1.465 level could be in the resistance position and the level of 1.340 could be in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
