Bitcoin ATM Robbers Turn Out To Be Novice
Bitcoin ATM robbers turned out to be novice. Two robbers damaged shops during the incident.
The incident occurred in the British Columbia city of Kelowna, Canada. The incompetence of two people who wanted to rob a
Bitcoin ATM that was installed in conjunction with a delicatessen shop caused serious damage to the deli shop.
At around 03:00 on the night of October 7, two people attempted to steal the
Bitcoin ATM placed on the back wall of the deli shop by dismantling it. However, the robbers who failed to do this rushed the front wall of his shop with their pickup trucks pulled back while trying to escape.
It was stated that the police would catch the suspects as soon as the tailgate of the robbers' van was dislodged as a result of the accident. Kelowna police spokesperson Solana Paré said the following regarding the issue:
“It looks like nothing was taken from the workplace, thanks to the suspects' failure to steal the Bitcoin ATM, despite the thousands of dollars in damage caused, according to preliminary assessment by officials in the area.”
Don Favell, the owner of the deli, worried about the timing of the event, saying that Thanksgiving was approaching and that his customers were waiting for the meat they had already ordered before the holiday.
Stating that the damage will be covered by the insurance, Favell said in a statement to the press, “Everyone will buy their turkey.”
