Bitcoin Prediction at $68,000 from Michael Saylor!
The president and co-founder of MicroStrategy made ambitious statements about Bitcoin. He noted that it could return to $ 68,990, the peak it reached in November, "within the next four years" and could reach $ 500,000 in the next ten years if it equals the market value of gold.
MicroStrategy is also making improvements to the Lightning network, a layered payment protocol on the Bitcoin network, MicroStrategy president and co-founder Michael Saylor told the Best New Ideas in Money Festival.
Saylor, president of MicroStrategy, said in his assessment:
"We are developing Lightning wallets that can be deployed to businesses, for example, you can give Bitcoin to 1,000 employees in one afternoon, or we are building Lightning walls that you can wrap with a layer of digital energy to protect your websites from cybersecurity attacks. We take care of cyberspace and continue to spread Bitcoin. We will use our enterprise software skills to do that."
Saylor said BTC is tracking its four-year simple moving average, which currently stands around $20,000.
"It touched this a couple of times. I think it's stable. The next logical stop for BTC is to replace gold as an independent store of value asset."
According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, MicroStrategy bought 301 BTC for about $6 million between August 2 and September 19, bringing its holdings in the cryptocurrency to more than 130,000.
Michael Saylor stated that he personally holds approximately 17,732 BTC, which he purchased for approximately $9,500 two years ago.
