Bitcoin rises 10% to lead the crypto market
Crypto markets recovered quickly and turned upward after downward volatility this week.
Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency, saw a value increase of up to 10 percent in the last 24 hours, stepping into the $ 21,000 band and became the most valued cryptocurrency in the top 10. On the other hand, BTC bottomed out at $18,510 in this week's volatility.
Bitcoin's market capitalization also climbed back to the $400 billion level with today's upward movement, while the total market capitalization surpassed the psychological threshold of $1 trillion. Another important development was that the 24-hour average trading volume reached $90 billion, the highest in recent days. Although there was a loss of slope in the bullish movement as the US trading hours entered, the outlook was still maintained.
Among the 10 largest cryptocurrencies, there was an average daily increase of 5 percent. Ethereum (ETH) stepped into the $ 1,700 band with increasing demand today. After Bitcoin, Polkadot (DOT) was the most appreciated cryptocurrency in the top 10, pushing Dogecoin out of the top 10 again.
Today, the new LUNA started to steal a role from LUNC
While the crypto markets have been talking about the performance of Terra Classic (LUNC) for weeks, LUNA, the native asset of Terra's new Blockchain, caused all eyes to turn on it with its surprising bullish performance in afternoon trading.
LUNA increased its value by 280 percent to $ 7.66 in a few hours with high-volume purchases starting at $ 2. The altcoin, which saw a partial decline while the news was being prepared for publication, was currently trading at $ 6.5.
LUNC, on the other hand, moved horizontally over $ 0.0005 in the first hours of the day today, while it started to move with sellers in the afternoon transactions. After a decline of up to $ 0.00035 in the LUNC market, which accelerated sales during US trading hours, a recovery came above $ 0.0004, but LUNC's downward trend continues. The cryptocurrency is the most depreciated cryptocurrency in the top 100, losing more than 20 percent in the last 24 hours.
In weekly performances, it has lost its first place position to LUNA token. Currently, the most rising altcoins of the last week among the top 100 cryptocurrencies are the two separate tokens of the Terra ecosystem.
Among the high market capitalization cryptocurrencies overshadowed by Terra and Terra Classic tokens, Ravencoin, Cosmos and OKB also saw a significant rise of over 20 percent today. On the other hand, there are no altcoins that have fallen significantly, except for the loss of value reaching 20 percent after LUNC's sale in the last hours.
