According to the data obtained by Whale Alert; 10,000 Bitcoins worth about $383 million stolen from the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex were moved to an unknown wallet. In 2016, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex was exposed to a cyberattack. In this attack, the stock market lost 120,000 Bitcoin (BTC). This time, according to data obtained by Whale Alert, a large amount of stolen Bitcoin was sent by hackers to an anonymous wallet ending with “uxwczt”. In addition, it is not known whether the wallet in which the transaction is made belongs to an exchange. Finally, hackers moved some of the stolen Bitcoins in April of 2021. So much so that the transaction coincided with the period when the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase was listed on the Nasdaq. In addition, this transfer, which took place in the middle of the bull season at that time, was equivalent to about 700 million dollars at that time.
