BitMEX Accepted Accusations Of Money Laundering
Cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX, which came to the fore with allegations of money laundering, accepted the accusations against the company.
According to the statement made today by the US Department of Justice (DOJ); BitMEX co-founders Arthur Hayes and Benjamin Delo pleaded guilty to violating the US Bank Secrecy Act.

BitMEX has come to the fore with money laundering allegations before. The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has reported that Arthur Hayes and Benjamin Delo, co-founders of cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX, violated the US Bank Secrecy Act. The DOJ's statement on the subject included the following:
"Under the terms of the respective plea bargains, Hayes and Delo each agreed to pay a criminal penalty of $10 million representing the financial gains from the crime."
US Attorney General Damian Williams said, "Today's criminal complaints reflect this office's commitment to money laundering investigation and prosecution in the cryptocurrency industry."
BitMEX spokesperson said:
"We are aware of the developments in the DOJ case, but will not comment on an ongoing legal matter that no BitMEX entity is party to. We are working as usual, all funds are safe and there are no issues."
