According to the assessment made by Richard Franulovic, Director of Foreign Exchange Strategist at
Westpac Banking Corp., the US dollar lost its appeal after US bond yields "peaked" and Europe overcame the problems of vaccination as part of the fight against coronavirus.
In the stock markets, it was seen that the losses recorded since Monday were replaced by an effort to recover. In the USA, after the S&P 500 index fell for two consecutive days, it finished Wednesday with a gain of 0.93 percent, led by raw materials, energy and finance stocks. The Russel 2000 index, in which small-sized company stocks are traded, increased by more than 2 percent. Thus, it surpassed other indices. Asian stock markets increased by more than 2 percent, led by Nikkei.
