Breaking News: Discount on Gasoline Prices According to the breaking news, there is a discount on gasoline prices. The new prices will be valid from midnight tonight. According to the information given by the Energy Petrol Gas Supply Stations Employer Union (EPGİS), there will be a reduction in gasoline prices. 0.11 TL of the discount to be applied will be reflected on the pump as 0.07 TL. The remaining 0.04 TL will be used to replace the SCT income originating from the Eşel Mobile system. After the discount, the price of gasoline sold in Ankara for an average of 7.27 lira will be 7.20 lira per liter. The liter of gasoline will drop from 7.24 lira to 7.17 lira in Istanbul and from 7.30 lira to 7.23 lira in Izmir.   How Are Fuel Prices Calculated? Fuel prices are calculated by the refineries via inclusion of processed products in Mediterranean which includes Turkey and changes in the US dollar rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may vary slightly according to companies and cities due to their competition and freedom. With the Eşel Mobil system applied in fuel prices, the increases in domestic pump prices as a result of the increase in oil prices, exchange rate and international product prices are tried to be balanced without being reflected as a raise to the consumer with the SCT adjustment.
