Britain Started Coronavirus Vaccination Today
Britain started coronavirus vaccination today. The vaccine developed by
Pfizer and BioNTech is being used in the country.
The first vaccine was given to a 90-year-old named Margaret Keenan. Keenan became the first in the world to have Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine. "I feel extremely privileged," says 90-year-old Keenan.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said:
"Today,
Britain is taking a giant step forward in the fight against coronavirus. While the vaccination program is planned to be accelerated in the next weeks and months, it is very important that you continue to comply with the Covid winter plan by following the rules of your region and remembering the basic precautions."
In addition, the UK administration states that most of the restrictions will be lifted, but it may take until April for life to return to normal.
Making an assessment on the subject, Health Minister Matt Hancock stated that "the light was seen at the end of the tunnel" and used the following statements:
"When we look back on Victory Day in the future, we will see an important moment in our fight against this terrible disease."
