British Airways Has Canceled More Than 15 Intercontinental Routes
British Airways has canceled more than 15 intercontinental routes in its timetable for next year as passengers restrict travel during a pandemic.
The canceled routes include flights to the North American cities of Pittsburgh, Calgary and Charleston, as well as connections to Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Osaka.
The line to the popular winter holiday destination of Seychelles is also canceled.
British Airways regretted that customers with tickets for canceled routes were entitled to a full refund. The bbc.com portal informs about it.
The British national airline has previously said that the
pandemic has hit it harder than anything else in the past and its losses are higher than during the 2008 financial crisis or the September 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York.
In the first half of this year, the company suffered a loss of almost four billion pounds. British Airways expects international travel to not return to pre-pandemic levels by 2023.
